Help our Bocas Elders

How can people help our Bocas Elders?  You can volunteer, give donations, talk to the government, the media, visit the Elders, hold their hands, hug them, bring them a treat, help with pampers and keeping  supplies of fresh food and necessities strong.

Commit to adopting a Bocas Elder.  Recognize and include the long-term employees who are committed to our Elders.  Let them know the great work they are doing and help them when you can by providing needed supplies.  Though there may be no rudder, the employees are the ones who keep the sail up and the ship sailing at Casa de Asilo.  They are Devoted Volunteers.

Bocas Christmas Meals on Wheels Program

Christmas Dinner, spearheaded by Jana Hudson of Lulus B&B.  Lulus was the hub for the preparation of the Staple Gift Boxes, including a holiday meal. Volunteers cooked and prepared food on Christmas Day.  Local donors have donated $180.00.

Recommendation: Please do not give cash donations directly to Casa de Asilo, or the employees, unless you want to surprise them monetarily during a holiday to recognize their work.

Protect our Bocas Elders

Please help to protect our Bocas Elders.  Upon visiting Casa de Asilo, should you view neglect or abuse, it is imperative to report this to tel: 147.  You will need to speak Spanish.  This is similar to a 911 number in the USA for emergencies.  Remember, the employees are doing their best, but without proper supervision, problems can occur.  Please be the extra set of eyes  to protect our Bocas Elders.  Be their angels.
